Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: March 2026

The short version

Some links on this site earn us a small commission when you click and buy. This never changes what we write. We only recommend tools we believe are genuinely good. Our honest opinion is the whole point of this site.

What are affiliate links?

When you click a link to a tool on our site and then sign up or make a purchase, the tool company may pay us a referral commission. This commission comes from the tool company's marketing budget. It adds zero cost to your purchase. You pay exactly the same price whether you arrive via our link or go directly.

How we identify affiliate links

Our affiliate links typically contain ?via=aherisystems in the URL. Every tool page footer and the main site footer note that some links are affiliate links. We do not label every individual button, as this would clutter the pages.

How affiliate relationships affect our reviews

They do not affect our editorial content. Here is exactly what we do and do not do:

What we do

  • +Review tools based on genuine merit
  • +Include cons and limitations honestly
  • +Recommend alternatives when a tool is not the right fit
  • +Update reviews when pricing or features change
  • +Include tools we earn nothing from when they are the best option

What we never do

  • !Accept payment for positive reviews
  • !Rank tools based on commission rate
  • !Suppress negative information about partners
  • !Let advertisers influence editorial content
  • !Recommend tools we would not use ourselves

FTC and legal compliance

This disclosure is made in compliance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). We disclose material connections (including affiliate relationships) whenever relevant, as required by law.

We also comply with the ASA guidelines in the UK, ACCC guidelines in Australia, and equivalent guidelines in other jurisdictions where our content is read.

Current affiliate programs

We participate in affiliate programs with various software companies including but not limited to Zapier, Make, HubSpot, Notion, ConvertKit, and ClickUp. The specific programs change over time as we add new tool reviews. Not all tools we review have affiliate programs.

Done-for-you setup services

We offer paid setup and automation services through our setup request form. These services are priced and quoted independently of our editorial reviews. A tool being featured in our setup services does not indicate any special commercial relationship or change our editorial assessment of that tool.
